July 5-July 8 “The Importance of Romance” – Wednesday, July 5 to Saturday, July 8 at 7:00 pm. Two one act comedies, “The Romancers” by Edmond Rostand directed by Alphee Spurles, and “The Importance of the House Beautiful” written and directed by Ron Kelly Spurles.

July 13 “We’re Still Here: Tales from 2020 and Beyond” – Thurs, July 13th, 7:30 pm. Written and directed by Charlie Rhindress A moving and sometimes funny look back at the Covid experience based on interviews with dozens of Atlantic Canadians.

July 15 “The Complete History of Sackville” – Saturday, July 15th at 10 am. Written and directed by Ron Kelly Spurles. A short entertaining play about the history of Sackville with three actors playing multiple characters. At Sackville Farmers Market, by donation.
July 16 Mali Obomsawin – Jazz concert. Sun July 16th, 7:30 pm. An award winning bassist, songwriter and composer from Abenaki First Nation at Odanak, Obomsawin carries several music traditions.

July 17-22 “Theatre is Fun – Summer Camp for Grades 1 to 5” – Monday to Friday, July 17 – 21. A half-day camp with a focus on fun exploration of making theatre with games, improvisation, and a final performance for friends and family.

July 19 – July 22 “Retrospective” – Artist Vivan Lake’s is an acclaimed mask-maker. A prestigious public art gallery has mounted a retrospective of her work. At the opening, she gives a speech before adoring fans and is then interviewed by the overly zealous gallery director whose probing questions cut a little too close to the bone. Who are you when you’re not being true to yourself? Vivan is about to find out! Wednesday to Saturday, July 19 to 22 at 7:30 pm and also 2 pm on July 22. July 25 “NOW AND FOREVER A Musical Tribute to Anne Murray” Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30 pm. Presented by Live Bait Theatre and the Anne Murray Centre. Created and hosted by Charlie Rhindress. An intimate evening celebrating the life and music of Canadian icon Anne Murray. Jennie Del Motte, Mirren Lithwick, Heather MacIntyre and Carley Varner-Joudrey, who all appeared in Live Bait’s incredibly popular tribute to Rita MacNeil, I’m Not What I Seem , will perform over a dozen of Anne’s greatest hits. The evening is hosted by best-selling author, Charlie Rhindress, who will read from his upcoming book, Nova Scotia’s Women of Song , and tell stories from Anne’s life.
