“The Importance of Romance” rain location is St Marks Hall at Mt Whatley, just 5 minutes away from Fort Beausejour. The address is 59 Mt Whatley Loop Rd, Aulac. Call us at (506) 940-2248 if you need help with directions. If the weather forecast is questionable (basically any possibility of rain), we may go inside. July 5-July 8
“The Importance of Romance” – Wednesday, July 5 to Saturday, July 8 at 7:00 pm. Two one act comedies, “The Romancers” by Edmond Rostand directed by Alphee Spurles, and “The Importance of the House Beautiful” written and directed by Ron Kelly Spurles.

“We’re Still Here: Tales from 2020 and Beyond” – Thurs, July 13th, 7:30 pm. Written and directed by Charlie Rhindress A moving and sometimes funny look back at the Covid experience based on interviews with dozens of Atlantic Canadians.

“The Good, the Bard and the Ugly” – Saturday 15 at 7:30 pm. Written and performed by Michelle Daigle, Ron Kelly Spurles and Don Rigley. A humorous smorgasbord of love lost, love found, lust, dramatic tension and absurdity with love potions, sleeping potions and death potions!

“The Complete History of Sackville” – Saturday, July 15th at 10 am. Written and directed by Ron Kelly Spurles. A short entertaining play about the history of Sackville with three actors playing multiple characters. At Sackville Farmers Market, by donation.
July 16
Mali Obomsawin – Jazz concert. Sun July 16th, 7:30 pm. An award winning bassist, songwriter and composer from Abenaki First Nation at Odanak, Obomsawin carries several music traditions.

“Theatre is Fun – Summer Camp for Grades 1 to 5” – Monday to Friday, July 17 – 21. A half-day camp with a focus on fun exploration of making theatre with games, improvisation, and a final performance for friends and family.

“Retrospective” – Artist Vivan Lake’s is an acclaimed mask-maker. A prestigious public art gallery has mounted a retrospective of her work. At the opening, she gives a speech before adoring fans and is then interviewed by the overly zealous gallery director whose probing questions cut a little too close to the bone. Who are you when you’re not being true to yourself? Vivan is about to find out! Wednesday to Saturday, July 19 to 22 at 7:30 pm and also 2 pm on July 22. A world premiere written and directed by Sue Rose.

“Maple Stir Up” – Sat July 22nd, 10 am Directed by Sarah Tardif. A short entertaining play about the creation of the Canadian flag. AND “Sackville for Sale” Written by Valmai Goggins and directed by Maya Mutter. A short entertaining play about the history of shipbuilding in Sackville. At Sackville Farmers Market, by donation.
“There’s a Storyteller in All of Us – writing workshop with Maika Branch” – Sat, July 22nd at 2 pm to 4 pm. For ages 8 – 12. There’s a storyteller in all of us come unleash yours! A free workshop presented at The Studio at 3 Fairfield Rd.

“NOW AND FOREVER A Musical Tribute to Anne Murray” Tuesday, July 25 at 7:30 pm. Presented by Live Bait Theatre and the Anne Murray Centre. Created and hosted by Charlie Rhindress. An intimate evening celebrating the life and music of Canadian icon Anne Murray. Jennie Del Motte, Mirren Lithwick, Heather MacIntyre and Carley Varner-Joudrey, who all appeared in Live Bait’s incredibly popular tribute to Rita MacNeil, I’m Not What I Seem, will perform over a dozen of Anne’s greatest hits. The evening is hosted by best-selling author, Charlie Rhindress, who will read from his upcoming book, Nova Scotia’s Women of Song, and tell stories from Anne’s life.
